#39 The Sign of The Book (Cliff Janeway #4)

12/4 새벽에 완료~ 6일 소요;

544pages
445574

#37 Bookman's Wake (Cliff Janeway #2)

(Darryl & Richard),
Janeway.

S. by J.J. Abrams (Creator), Doug Dorst (Author)

참고로 이책의 eBook은 아마존UK하고 iBooks US스토어에서 구매 가능;

* 헐 예스24에서 50% 행사 중, 아우 갈등!!!

마치 애플 신제품의 언박싱을 보는 것 같은 북 언박싱;

• S. – The main character in the novel "Ship of Theseus" who is suffering from amnesia. The novel follows S. as he desperately tries to figure out who he is and what his significance is to both the Ship of Theseus and the various ports at which it docks.

• V.M. Straka – an enigmatic author of the novel Ship of Theseus, the book which serves as stage to this mystery.

• The Translator (FXC) – a historian of Straka’s works who not only translates his novels into a variety of different languages but also pens commentary in the form of footnotes throughout Ship of Theseus.

• Eric – an exhausted theorist who believes the mystery of “Who is V.M. Straka” can be solved via subtext clues cleverly embedded throughout Ship of Theseus

• Jen – a student who stumbles upon Eric’s copy of Ship of Theseus and who’s penchant for researching the obscure and who's fresh perspective on the tale helps reveal that the initial question of “Who is V.M. Straka” is only the tip of a very, VERY large iceberg.

• YOU – You are the 3rd handler of this book. Jen and Eric have taken extensive notes in the margins and left dozens of pieces of ephemera tucked into the pages that serve as clues. You will use these clues to not only help solve the mystery of V.M. Straka, but also explore the mystery of why it is that you now have this book in your possession.(Amazon Review에서 발췌)

How to Read Eric’s and Jen’s Notes:
From the start, readers will notice the difference between Eric’s and Jen’s penmanship  and the color of pens being used.  Their notes were written at different times and different phases of their relationship and can be identified by the color of pens used:
1.  dark blue (Jen) ; BLACK (Eric) – this is used during the first phase of their relationship when they were just getting to know each other and when they were more interested in analyzing the text of Ship of Theseus and breaking codes.
2. Red orange (Jen) ; GREEN (Eric) – these were used during the 2nd phase of their relationship when they have known each other better and have delved deeper into the text and Straka’s life.  There are more personal information about themselves written in these colors.
3.  purple (Jen) ;  RED (Eric) – These were used when Jen’s and Eric’s relationship became more intimate and their research on Straka more in-depth.  Notes in these colors are mostly about their personal troubles, present dangers and results of their research on Straka and Caldeira.
4.  black (Jen) ; BLACK (Eric) – This is the last color used by Jen and Eric. (How To Read J.J. Abrams’ “S.”

#36 Booked to Die (Cliff Janeway #1)

The Giver 시리즈 이후 새로 시작하는 책;

Booked to Die (Cliff Janeway)
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0078XFWGY/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_2CVpub1WM7EB1
