이번 이야기는 많은 용의자들이 있음에도 마지막까지 조가 범인을 특정해 내지 못했고 그만큼 연관성을 찾기 어렵기도 했다. 피해자 하퍼의 친구가 바에서 하퍼가 TV뉴스에 관심을 기울였다는 진술을 조가 흘려들은 것과 조의 딸 찰리가 진실(곧 위험)을 향해 한걸음씩 다가서고 있음에도 조가 등한시 여긴점 또한 옥의 티로 보여진다. 결국 그 결과 찰리와 엠마까지 위험에 처했으니 말이다. 두 딸이 살인자의 손에 있고 아내마져 사경을 헤맨다는 소식을 접한 조의 그 순간의 심경은 어땠을지......몰입이 지대로.......
마지막 챕터에서 배신당해서 6월에 나올 9권은 안볼까 생각했지만~
